King of the planetary council, the Sun is entering into His
own sign Leo on 17 August 2015, at 12.25 noon time to stay there for a month
and to provide power and prejudice to the authority figures to make them more
prominent and effective. The Moon, planet of intelligence, Mercury and planet
of justice, Jupiter are already transiting through Leo sign and this
association of the Sun, the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter may produce excellent
results for the government machinery. Although the Moon will be there in Leo
sign for a very short duration till 17 August 2015, 13.49 pm, but, still, this
association of four planets in a sign may produce spectacular results or might
even start to produce significant results.
Given the position of a minister, Jupiter is the planet of
justice also. There could be some best feasible way out for ongoing logjam in
the parliament and outside also to provide substantial relief for the
government. Some projects may roll out for the welfare of common people and
enhancement in current socio economic situation is predicted by this planetary
configuration of the zodiac.
In our religious beliefs, this transit period of the Sun
through His own sign Leo is not considered as a good period and no auspicious
events takes place during this one month’s duration. There are no dates of
marriage allotted during this month in hindu ‘Panchaang’. In West
Bengal, seeing the face of a newly wed bride is this month is considered as
inauspicious and thus, they send the newly wed bride to her parent’s house to
stay there for this particular one month called ‘Bhaadra’. Auspicious
events like house warming and foundation laying ceremonies are not advised
during this ‘Bhaadra’ month.
Two
significant festivals are going to take place during the Sun’s transit through
Leo sign this year. One very popular festival is ‘Raksha Bandhan’ widely
celebrated in northern India to mark the love between brothers and sisters.
This year ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is going to be celebrated on 29 August, on the full
Moon day. The other festival is ‘Shri Krishna Janmotsav’ famously known as
‘Janmashtami’, this festival comes after 8 days of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ on the 8th
tithi, i.e., lunar day, of the dark lunar half, called Krishna Paksha, Ashtami
tithi. Devotees keep day long fast and offer prayers and worship Lord Krishna
at the midnight time, when Shri Krishna was believed to be born. In English
calendar it will come on 5th of September 2015.
